What is plasma ?
Plasma is an important component of the
blood. It contains countless important
substances, such as e.g. proteins, growth
factors and white blood cells. A painless
blood draw is all that is needed to
produce the plasma.

It consists of PRP (Platelet-Rich-Plasma)
and PPP (platelet-poor plasma). The individual
plasma fractions are obtained by centrifugation. PRP is particularly rich in platelets and fibrin, while PPP contains large amounts of albumin. The BioGlow concept includes the use of both fractions and thus utilises the full
potential of plasma therapy.

The initially liquid plasma obtained from your
own blood is further processed gently and in
compliance with the strictest hygiene
requirements according to the chosen application.

Microneedling with PRP
("Vampire-lift")
In a minimally invasive treatment using extremely fine injection needles, plasma is injected into the relevant areas of the face. In addition, the skin is stimulated with tiny needles (microneedling) to promote collagen and elastin production in the skin.

The treatment is performed under local anesthesia and takes approximately one hour.

Stimulation
of hairgrowth
Patients with thinning or transplanted hair also benefit from plasma therapy with PRP. This is injected in liquid form under the scalp. The plasma factors support the regeneration of existing hair, strengthen it and can even stimulate the growth of new follicles.

Plasma therapy of the scalp requires at least three to four treatments, which should be carried out at intervals of about eight weeks, in order to achieve a visible result.

Applications in
Implantology
Membranes can be made from plasma,
which can be used as an ideal wound dressing
in the mouth (e.g. for tooth extraction or implantation).

Plasma membranes are also excellent
for stabilising the bone in the context of bone augmentation and support the blood
supply of the transplanted tissue.

Liquid plasma can also be used to reduce
postoperative pain and swelling.
Acne scars
Scars on the face can easily lead to
lowered self-esteem. Such scars often
develop due to pronounced acne during puberty.
In combination with the use of dermarollers (microneedling), particularly good treatment
successes can be achieved here.
